welcome
hi, I make frogs
There are so many new frog fans here, and I wanted to give you a proper introduction to introvert & frog. Firstly, greetings! & welcome here!!

My name is Jasmine and I’m a very introverted artist who makes frogs. But why frogs? The frogs happened by accident, at least on my part. Perhaps by intentional design, on their part. I’m going to try to explain but I’m not sure how it’ll go. Regardless, here’s the story:
the story
When I was young I had this joyous fixation on miniature things and cute (at least what I considered cute) rotund animals that I would turn into characters through various forms of art. When I got older, I did the whole ~growing up~ thing and became a professional fine artist. No more cute-rotund-weird characters.
Then I had some personal stuff happen and my entire perspective on the majority of life changed. I don’t mean to offend the fine-art world when I say this, but I became completely disillusioned with the fine-art world during this time. Given that I had spent my life up until this point devoting everything to this fine-art dream, my own world went dark.
Basically, I was in the dark for a while. Pretty much the worst existential crisis ever. Got to the point where I really didn’t care about anything anymore. So I stopped trying to push through a lot of things and like, idk, just let myself float down the river of unconscious flow or something. Then the frog came.
I kid you not, visions and imagery of this extremely round, kind of moist but totally cute (cute??) frog kept showing up in my mind. This frog would be doing ordinary things in weird places - like eating a cobb salad near a black hole (see below)

It was always chonky. And for some reason usually accompanied by this sound:
I felt a deeply comforting buzzing feeling when I thought about chonkyfrog going about daily tasks even while submerged in void-like liminal places. So I started painting this frog and haven’t stopped. There are no signs of stopping and Chonk has brought some corn for popping.
Anyway I started sharing chonkyfrog with the world and most unexpectedly - you all seem to love Chonk too. Giving form to these frogs and sharing them does something creatively inexplicable to me. My life essentially started anew with the emergence of chonkyfrog. I know it sounds weird, because it is. But that’s the story.
about introvert & frog
Introvert & frog is a project that is exactly what it sounds like: an introvert & her frog, integrated as one creative unit. Because despite being a massive introvert in the physical-social world, I really enjoy connecting with others in the digital-social world. I love writing about things I’ve learned whilst being an introvert, and most of those things tend to revolve around creativity in general. So that’s a lot of what you’ll find here (in addition to the regular frog logs, AKA all updates on chonkyfrog).
I also make vlogs about these things, with a focus on slow sensory moments. It’s kind of like a personal practice of resetting my own nervous system, but shared for the love of sharing the things I love. They are very ordinary vlogs, featuring very ordinary things like routines and the creation of frog art.
the art
Obviously, I make frog art. But I also run a small frog art business from my home. As of 2026, it’s growing steadily enough to replace my previously blown-to-bits fine art scenario that I spoke about earlier. Again, weird to explain but this project has become what I look forward to most when I wake up in the morning.
As of now, I keep it simple with chonkyfrog watercolor sketches & prints. Sometimes I make big acrylic paintings if the vision requires a void-like liminal space vibe. And every once and awhile I explore sculptural frogs. OH and a monthly frog mail club!!
Since I’m totally neurotic when it comes to making sure these frogs live their best lives out there, I handle every part of the business myself, hand-sign all frog prints, pack/ship them, etc. I’m obsessed with these dang frogs and want to make sure that if you are too, you get to experience them at their maximum quality.
I have no idea where it will go, but this introvert has a new dream!! There’s so many creative ideas a-brewin’ for chonkyfrog… and now also to connect with you!
I’m finally beginning to understand the value of having gone through that really dark time in my life, and while the frog came to me of its own accord, I have to give the rest of my thanks to you. Thank you for being here and enjoying these creations as much as you do. It truly means the world :)
